Coming down the stairs to see if Santa came. They look pretty sure they are on the nice list.

It was a rough day of opening presents and playing with their new games. Hannah got these eye covers as a present but they both wanted to sleep with them in Hannah's room.

Ready for Christmas Eve

We are having 20 people over on Christmas Eve. I have spent the past few days getting ready. Here are some pics of the house. I made the center pieces myself (I am very proud).

We had Christmas at my mom and Paul's the other night. The kids got robes and they haven't taken them off for two days.

You know when you practice something at home and you are sure you have it down and then you go to actually execute and you forget everything? Well see below. It is fun to watch me make a fool of myself, just ask my mom, which is the ONLY reason I am posting this. :)

This was a fantastically fun night. Kate, the best hostess in the world, had a cookie exchange party and boy did we have a nice time. Visiting with friends, eating good food, and taking home 9 dozen cookies...there is nothing better! A great big shout out to my mom who was kind enough to bake my cookies. You're the best Glo! :)


This is Emily. It was VERY icy and she fell on the way in. After falling, as she is sparled out on the sidewalk, she anounced, "It's a little icy." After I checked to make sure she was OK, I laughed until I almost wet my pants.

Thoughts on a Snow Day

It's cold and gross outside. Although I DO love a snow day, I have decided to be here in my mind today. Yaaaa Man!

Weight Loss Celebration

After 12 weeks of a weight lose competition, some people lost a fantastic amount of weight and some, like myself, lost nothing. We had a great time celebrating the end of the competition by having dinner...WHAT? :) We ate and then went out to a local establishment for a night cap. Me being an old women, was home by around 10:30ish. Hey, we all met up at 5:30. That's not too bad. Anyway, it was GREAT fun.

Basketball Jones

OK, I know that my photography skills are really lacking. I will make no excuses.

The Good News:
This was Max's first B-ball game. He did a GREAT job. The coach gave him several complements on his defending skills and he was VERY proud of himself. We were also very proud of him.

The Bad News:
At one point in the game Max, "...flew through the air and landed on my wrist." The Dr. thinks it is broken but will not be able to tell for sure until it is x-rayed again next week.

Lunch Before A Hard Day of Parent/Teacher Conferences

Smells Like Team Spirit

Guess what we got last week. You guessed it, we got the new Woodland spirit wear. This fantastic picture, taken by BETHANY, of Jaycie, Tara, Kate, and I are showing off our new duds. Didn't BETHANY do a great job taking the picture? Way to take a great picture BETHANY. :)

Getting Things Done

We spent the weekend getting things done at home. On Saturday, Randy's brother, Rob, came over to help us finish the kitchen. We recently put in new appliances, counter tops, and faucet. this picture really doesn't show the counter tops very well. The flash changed the color. Hmmmm. A great big THANK YOU to Rob and Don Smith for the help in the kitchen.

The weather was so nice on Sunday that I thought I would decorate the outside of the house for Christmas. I know it is not Thanksgiving yet, but the weather is supposed to get really cold again I didn't want to be freezing my patootie off if I didn't have to.

This was a street performer in Munich. He had a lot of fun with Max. Later, he gave Randy a run for his money too.

We are at our friends, Peter and Renate's house. They made a WONDERFUL dinner for us and we spent the evening watching the 2008 Euro Cup simi-final game (Germany won). It was a great evening.

This is the Night Watchman in Rothenberg. This is a great tour. He took us on a walking tour of the village while entertaining us with an amusing account of the town's history.

This is a picture we took in southern Germany. As beautiful as this picture is, the real thing was even more beautiful. We could not believe the view.
